OBOE AND PIANO RECITAL

Penrith Music Club’s season of international concerts continues on Monday January 16th, when two young British Artists, Hannah Condliffe and Dominic Doutney, will be giving a recital of music for oboe and piano.

Hannah is a first class graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and in 2019 was awarded the prestigious Munster Trust Neil Black Prize. She has performed as a concerto soloist with the European Union Chamber Orchestra and a number of English orchestras. Dominic is a graduate of the Royal College of Music and was recently awarded first prizes in international competitions in Italy and Portugal. He has made appearances on BBC Radio 3 and has performed for King Charles III (then Prince of Wales) at a prize-giving ceremony at the Royal College of Music.

Hannah and Dominic’s recital is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and includes music by J.S.Bach, Britten, Brahms, Gilles Silvestrini, Scriabin, Poulenc, Godowsky and a blues piece by Jeffrey Agrell.

The concert takes place in Penrith Methodist Church at 7.30 pm. Tickets (£18, students £2) can be pre-booked on 01768-863518 or are available at the door (cash payments only)
